Dr. Paul Aanderud

As a native Oregonian who practices adult, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology  Dr. Aanderud is ready for any challenge you bring him. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.

During his three year dermatology residency at the Michigan State University Consortium/Oakwood Southshore Medical Center, he was actively involved in academic pursuits such as research and publications and national lecturing for which he received multiple awards for academic excellence.

Dr. Aanderud lectures at local and national meetings, is active in community health education, and has publications in multiple peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he continues to share his extensive training in Medical Dermatology, and cosmetic therapies with his patients as well as rotating dermatology residents.

He is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and the Oregon Dermatology Society. Dr. Aanderud is on staff at Providence Milwaukie and Providence Willamette Falls Hospital, as well as Portland Adventist Medical Center.


Dr. Swanson specializes in caring for patients with skin cancer, including melanoma. With advanced training in Mohs surgery, he often treats complex cancers. He has trained over 30 fellows who practice at teaching hospitals in the United States and around the world. In his spare time, he enjoys country life, including Western riding and competing on his horse Jax.

Nathan Smith has been practicing as a physician assistant in dermatology since 2006, and joined Goodskin Dermatology in 2011.  Nathan was recognized as one of Portland Monthly’s top doctors and nurses in dermatology in 2017.  He received a Master of Science from Pacific University School of Physician Assistant Studies in 2003, graduating with honors.

He specializes in all aspects of general dermatology. Nate strives to listen to each patient’s concerns, address individual needs, and provide a comfortable experience.  He enjoys educating his patients, which leads to improved outcomes.   Nate recently moved to Hillsboro from the Clackamas office of Goodskin Dermatology to be closer to his family.

He is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, Oregon Dermatology Society, and Oregon Medical Association.  In his spare time he enjoys family life with his wife, two young children, and golden retriever.  He enjoys traveling, hiking, mountain biking, and CrossFit.


Erin Cunningham is a Southeast Alaskan native who left the state to attend the University of Nevada, Reno in 1997. Here, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2001.

Erin later pursued her graduate degree at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2008 and has since been practicing Dermatology in Southwest Washington and the greater Portland area.

When Erin isn’t working, she loves to travel internationally, explore the great Northwest, try new restaurants and compete on game shows.

Leah joined the Goodskin team in December of 2007. After graduating from the University of Puget Sound in 2003, she decided to pursue her lifelong interest in aesthetics by attending the Euro Institute of Skin Care. She has also completed training to become a Certified Advanced Aesthetician. She is passionate about education for aestheticians as well and is a guest instructor at Spectrum Advanced Aesthetics.

Leah has been in the industry for over a decade, working for both a plastic surgeon and a resort spa before becoming a full-time member of the Goodskin family. She spends her days performing a variety of anti-aging and resurfacing treatments, peels, facials and laser hair removal, as well as consulting with patients regarding their skin care concerns. She has an extensive knowledge of the multiple skin care products lines carried in the office as well as a solid background in mineral makeup. In her spare time she loves to foster rescue dogs as well travel and hike with her husband and their dog Max.


Dr. Stapp is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Alabama in 1991 with a major in Fashion Design and Textiles. She took this degree to New York City, where she worked as an assistant fashion designer for 7 years in the ladies apparel industry, working for such companies such as Ralph Lauren Sport and Bass Ladies Sportswear.

In 1999, she decided to take her career path to a more personally fulfilling level by applying to medical school. She earned her Medical Degree from Midwestern University / Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Phoenix, Arizona.

Upon medical school graduation, from 2003 to 2004, she attended University of Tennessee Health Science Center for her internal medicine internship. She then served the United States Air Force for the next 5 years as a flight surgeon, where she gained vast experience in combat medicine and minor surgery. She was initially stationed in Misawa Japan where she was physician for an F-16 fighter squadron, and all its supporting aircrew.

As flight surgeon, she served as the solo physician for approximately 350 aircrew and servicemen, accompanying them to military exercises in Kuwait, Qatar, India, and Kyrgyzstan. As flight surgeon at Edwards Air Base California, she had the opportunity to work alongside NASA flight doctors to treat the astronauts during 2 space shuttle landings. She also served as the personal in-flight physician for the 18th Air Force Chief of Staff, General Michael Moseley.

She is a 2013 graduate of the Dermatology residency at Broward Health Medical Center / Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Until she decided to make the personal move to Portland, Oregon and join the wonderful team at GoodSkin Dermatology, she was part of the successful practice of Hollywood Dermatology and Cosmetic Specialists in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She brings her expertise in early skin cancer detection and cosmetic dermatology to Portland.

Karin Seibel, RN

Karin joined the Goodskin team in 2016. As a R.N., Karin has enjoyed a 30-year career in the Operating Room before turning her talents to cosmetic treatments and aesthetic lasers. She is rated in the top 3% worldwide with Allergan for Botox and Dermal Fillers. Karin has had extensive training in the many uses of injectables and excels at creating individualized treatment plans to achieve beautiful results.  As an R.N., Karin is knowledgeable about skincare and she is also a gifted makeup artist who enjoys helping you look your personal best. Karin loves walking her dog, playing with her grandchildren and traveling to the beach and mountain to ski.

Alicia Foglio, Aesthetician

Alicia joined the Goodskin Dermatology in 2016.  After attending Biola University in Southern California, Alicia decided to pursue a career in esthetics and attended the Esthetics Institute in Portland Oregon.  After graduation in 2001, Alicia worked for a day spa where her love for pampering clients and meeting their skincare goals grew. She then transitioned to a medical spa where she was trained and certified as a laser technician. She has worked as a medical esthetician for the past 12 years where she enjoys helping clients customize a plan to meet their skincare needs.

Alicia is highly trained in the skincare products carried at our office as well as Jane Iredale Mineral makeup. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her husband and 3 kids.
